Evan Almighty..

Well the big question is, is Jim Carrey too Almighty? Jim Carrey has once again declined to reprise his role in a sequel to one of his movies, this time, Bruce Almighty.. This is the third time, following Son of the Mask and Dumb and Dumberer.. Though he did do a sequel to Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Carrey has said he is " Not a big fan of doing the same character twice.."

Steve Carell ( The 40 Year-Old Virgin ), reprising his role as the polished, preening newscaster Evan Baxter of Bruce Almighty, is the next one anointed by God to accomplish a holy mission in the hilarious new comedy Evan Almighty..

The last time we saw Evan Baxter, he was being tormented by rival Bruce Nolan ( Bruce Almighty ) onscreen, live from their Buffalo TV station.. But as time passed and Evan has made up with Bruce, he's gone onto bigger and better things..

Newly elected to Congress, Evan leaves Buffalo behind and shepherds his family to suburban northern Virginia.. Once there, his life gets turned upside - down when God ( Morgan Freeman ) appears and mysteriously commands him to build an ark.. But his befuddled family just can't decide whether Evan is having an extraordinary mid - life crisis or is truly onto something of Biblical proportions..
