The Forbidden Kingdom..

Well it's finally being filmed.. Two of the best martial artists in the world, Jackie Chan and Jet Li, will be teaming up together to make " The Forbidden Kingdon.."

The plot is currently unconfirmed but rumor has it that The Forbidden Kingdom is about a New York teenager who is obsessed with Hong Kong cinema and also classic Kung Fu movies.. One day the Kid makes an extraordinary discovery in a Chinatown pawnshop: The legendary Ru Yi Bang staff of the Chinese sage and warrior, Sun Wukong the Monkey King.. With the lost relic in hand, the teenager unexpectedly finds himself traveling back in time to ancient China to learn the true meaning of kung fu and then join a crew of warriors from martial arts lore on a dangerous quest to free the imprisoned Sun Wukong..

In his latest on line diary, Jackie Chan tells readers that he and Jet Li were moving so fast during a fight scene, that the director of photography was going to have to change the camera speed to capture them properly.. He writes, " As we went along, Jet would punch faster and faster; I would block faster and faster.. " The two had to slow themselves down for the cameras rather than have the change in camera speed make them look unnatural..

I am a huge fan of them both, but I am hoping that " The Forbidden Kingdom " is more successful than " Cradle to the Grave," which starred Jet Li and Mark Dacascos, who is another great martial artist.. But the movie was very disappointing in the fight scene between them at the end of the movie.. It didn't even scratch the potential of Dacascos's martial art skills.. It could have been one of the best fight scenes in history, instead they blew it.. So fingers crossed that thi duo will have the chance to show what they have.. There isn't any good pics of this movie yet, so you will have to put up with my own..

' The Forbidden Kingdom ' should hit screens worldwide next summer..
